Photoshop Projects

On our first Photoshop project, we were given the task of creating an ad for the Salvation Army focusing on child homelessness. To complete this project, I cut out the girl using the magic lasso tool, dimmed and blurred the background picture, applied a color effect on the whole image, and then added the information and contact details for the Salvation Army.

The second Photoshop project we had to complete was making an ad or public service announcement for a non-profit organization. I chose the topic of human trafficking and used the agency Not For Sale. First, I used the magic lasso tool to cutout the image of the hands in bondage. Then, I choose a brick background and enhanced the contrast. Lastly, I added the words, which I chose to emboss and glow.

InDesign Projects

The first InDesign project we completed was based on the High Point University Passport card. For this project, I used Photoshop to cutout the various logos, people, and objects. Then, I grouped the necessary information and added effects to accentuate them.

For our final InDesign project, we had to create a brochure for a non-profit organization. I focused my project on Invisible Children Inc. and their Kony 2012 campaign. Using Photoshop, I cutout and edited all of the pictures and images. After formatting the brochure, I added the necessary information and enhanced the words with effects.
